Hack Allows Xbox 360 Owners to Stream DivX Video in Real-Time

Very cool. Casey at Brains-N-Brawn has figured out a way to stream DivX video to the Xbox 360 using Windows Media Endcoder (via HD Beat). This is great news for all us lazy people who would otherwise need a program like Videora Xbox360 Converter to manually transcode each video into Xbox compatible WMV

Making your Slingbox wireless

The slingbox is a little deceptive where on the side of the box it says it can connect to your 802.11a/b/g home network. It is true but you need a wireless adapter to plug into your slingbox to make it wireless. Here is how I made mine wireless. First you need to update your WRT54G/GS with DD-WRT. One of the newest features available in the administrator console in dd-wrt v23 is wireless bridging. Here is the setup.

Play your video iPod on your TV

Griffin has certainly done very well since Apple created the iPod. With over 42 million iPods sold everyone has to buy those accessories for your iPod. TuneCenter, the Home Media Center for iPod is the lastest and greatest creation from Griffin. You can play your music through your home entertainment center and show your pictures and video on the tv all controlled with a remote from your video iPod.

Unbricking your linksys WRT54G

After bricking my wrt54g and attempting the most famous unbricking techniques of shorting out pins 15 and 16 didn’t work mainly because this is rumored to only work on version 1 of the WRT54G router. So I decided to make the connection to the router the most basic and hold down the reset button and all of a sudden I got the best news…..
