Preventing SSH Dictionary Attacks With DenyHosts

In this HowTo I will show how to install and configure DenyHosts. DenyHosts is a tool that observes login attempts to SSH, and if it finds failed login attempts again and again from the same IP address, DenyHosts blocks further login attempts from that IP address.

How To Set Up Database Replication In MySQL

This tutorial describes how to set up database replication in MySQL. MySQL replication allows you to have an exact copy of a database from a master server on another server (slave), and all updates to the database on the master server are immediately replicated to the database on the slave server so that both databases are in sync.

Unbricking your linksys WRT54G

After bricking my wrt54g and attempting the most famous unbricking techniques of shorting out pins 15 and 16 didn’t work mainly because this is rumored to only work on version 1 of the WRT54G router. So I decided to make the connection to the router the most basic and hold down the reset button and all of a sudden I got the best news…..
